Got my EU Spec M2 Competition in Germany (HS/6spd)

Hey guys,

I don‘t know how many cars are already delivered in germany but mine arrived last wednesday and I am totally in love with it.

As a M2 owner from day one, I can give you guys all the answers.
How the S55 compares to the N55. How both sound stock etc.

You can follow me on Instagram (@phil_m2) for daily Updates.

Here are two pics of the new car next to an AW M2.

Great shot showing the color difference between AW and HS. Thanks!

Mostly interested in the difference in the general driving dynamics: for instance
MR reported that the particulate filter had a negative impact on the engine performance -> agree/disagree? Some have reported that M2C is less light on its feet (due to increase weight in the nose) -> agree/disagree?
Etc.

The Sound is more n55ish than s55ish when driving in the normal rpm range.
When you rev it or in the higher rpm range it sounds more s55ish.
The problem with the rev videos is, that the M2C doesn‘t let you rev it to the max.
So it doesn‘t seem to Sound as good as the old one.
But it does the same pops and crackles.
It is more quiet in the lower rpms but louder in the higher rpms which you don‘t get in all the rev Videos.

Whoever says it is less light on his feet, should get a 50kg kid on the backseats and tell us the difference.

I would technically agree with MR, ist def has an impact.
But I doubt it is a bigger impact than switching from the stock Downpipe to a 300cel Downpipe.

I will soon place my car at a specialist and we will have a deep look under the car and the outcome will be a great exhaust, Downpipes and hopefully a plug&play opf alternative.

thanks for your answer. ASD is still on? might be the reason it sounds more like the N55 in lower rev ranges.

Yep it is still on. I guess this will be the cause.
But even from the outside it sounds Not like the M4.
I think both the n55 and the s55 M2s are pretty quiet when stock.
Can‘t wait to switch to another exhaust System!😂

I heard that you can disable ASD and open exhaust flaps all the time with bimmerlink

Wow is the HS color fed by the sun... It looks so blue grey in these photos while in direct sun a nice silver with the metallic really popping. Fascinating color.

I would say in the sun it looks like a mixture of Silverstone II and Moonstone Met.
Out of the sun like Porsches Kreide with a light touch of blue.
It is Really hard to tell.
But it is very Dynamic.

I've got mineral grey right now and looking forward to being able to bling up the HS with carbon fiber bits and actually have them pop! Can't do that with the mineral grey so much.... Carbon rear diffuser, front clip, trunk spoiler and a fresh set of 437m wheels and it should look tight!
