Nice! Thanks. Now I need to figure if I can paint just the visible part of the can.

Yes, this has been known. Dual path vs single path. Double the piping, cats, resonators. Switching to an aftermarket single path exhaust like from AA, will save a ton of weight 30-40lbs.

It would be nice to compare the mid pipes of US and EU exhaust system, according to etk pictures the US cars have a secondary kat where the EU cars have the OPF

Carl do you have a pic of the middle of the midpipe after the bend? Or pic that shows from downpipes to rear section in one shot?

Thanks for the pics Carl

I guess these pics confirm: this will be the true test of how much we all hated the new shiney muffler hanging out the back - is that worse than the dull, eventually surface rusted color of heat-cycled mild stainless?

Somewhere I thought if BMW was going to go through the trouble of putting new black tips and making sure all 4 always have full flow to prevent the 2 black/2 clean look of most cars with dual mode exhausts, that they'd at least use better stainless on the muffler (304 I think it is?) if it's going to be so visible

OP do you have some photos of the downpipes?

Especially the end and connection between the downpipes and the center pipes?

Shouldn't they look just like the M4 downpipes...they are the same part numbers.

subscribed. any way you can upload the full-res images? it's kind of hard to see the details on the tiny pics that were attached.

i'd like to see how the midpipe looks as well. i'm hoping i might be able to re-purpose my akra exhaust by cutting/clamping if they decide not to produce one for the m2c.

Yes lets have that confirmed. I don't believe those online platforms yet with their data. It needs to be in Realoem with correct photos before I trust it 100%, and I want to know the difference between EU and U.S. when it comes to those OPF sensors and their placement.
