530e lowering springs

Looking at options on lowering springs. I spoke to eibach today and they don't have any plans to release the pro kit for the 530e.

I don't fancy H&R due to bad experiences in the past.

That leaves AC schnitzer which I believe have springs made by eibach anyway. I can't find them online, anyone have any info they can share?

I have an M sport car yes, but BMW don't offer M sport suspension (lowered springs) on the 530e.

I have standard shocks, so no Variable dampers.

PM me last 7 of your VIN.
Let me check.
Because I installed H&R on 530e M Sport and it rode fine.
Ride a little stiffer than stock, but not bouncy.

I got a reply from AC schnitzer this morning advising they have no plans for lowering springs.

So H&R is the only option for the 530e.
The correct part number is 28721-5.

Any update on other offerings? Those H&R springs are just too low. PLus, they seem to sag in the rear. I don't think they really compensated for the battery weight in the rear.

I believe so far only H&R that have the specific spring for 530e.
The pictures that I post are using the non 530e springs.

Other than that, your option is KW V3 coilover.

What's your opinion on wheels spacers for the 530e with the same 19" M Sport wheels you have? 12mm/15mm, or does 15mm/20mm work better with these wheels when lowered?

If you lower the car, I would to 15/20 for aggressive look.
12/15 more to the conservative side or if it not lowered.

Thanks for the input! I'm trying to get Eibach to use my car to develop springs since I'm local, but no reply. Oh well!

Already tried this myself and spoke to them, however all their development is done in Germany and not the US or in my case the UK.

Hi everyone.

on my new 530e I have tried to replace the lowering springs from H&R H&R 28721-5.
I drove it for 2 weeks thinking it will get better. However, it was jumpy and uncomfortable.
I took a bite and replace mine with KW Coil Over STREET COMFORT Part #: 180200BY

This one is with Electronic dampers since mine originally was.
Nicely lowered very.. Very comfortable. However at the maximum high position it is too low and you can not get is any higher. I needed to raise it up at least 1/2" and can not. Unfortunately KW has recalled this product calling it unfit until another product is made and I have removed and replaced factory shocks again.

I have H&R Springs 28721-5 available for quick sale....

PM if interested ..

I am not that happy with the H&R springs either. They are sitting a bit to low and ride is to harsh. I have warped the front rims several times already. However, the stock springs are sitting way to high and does not look good. Anyone have any ideas on something in between?

Check out the MSS adjustable spring kit. You can obviously lower the vehicle to your spec, and maintain the ride comfort at the same time. Although, it is on the pricey side when compared to other lower spring kits such as Eibach.

Did you get H&R specific for the 530e? It's a right nightmare this. Seems like BMW couldn't be bothered to make m sport springs specifically for this engine!

Hi there, I am considering purchasing the H&R 28721-5, the ones specific for the 530e..what were your thoughts on this spring? What do you mean when you say jumpy? I can't budget for coilovers and really don't want to go for springs that weren't meant for the 530e as I don't want the saggy rear..

Like the others have said…the ride is terrible. After a week of settling, the front was very low. Front wheels looked tucked and cambered in too much. I felt Iike I was driving a slammed civic like back in high school lol. Couldn't take it anymore and removed the springs. Currently sitting at factory height with the huge wheel gap but I'd rather the wheel gap than the horrible ride with H&R springs.
