Here's my take on the Dinan intake for the n52.
I'm sure someone will say it, but yes these are Dinan "kibble" parts. I rang Dinan and asked for the snorkel and grille air scoop.

Unfortunately; I didn't believe everyone that it would not fit the m-sport front bumper. I figured mine might since it's a rep kit that utilized the OEM non m-sport brake cooling and fender liners.

The duct is a specter diy hose from O'Reily's.

The only difference in mine is the intake inlet location. Since I couldn't get the Dinan scoop to work I opt'd for the next best location. The fog light. I'd like to look into getting a corona ring to match my other fog color so it doesn't look like i have a light out as much. Let me know what you think!

You will have to call dinan directly or go through an authorized dealer to get the "kibble" parts as they call them (when you're breaking up a set).

Snorkel: D762-0066 $27.88

Brake scoop assembly: D762-0041 $36.89

Spectre 3" DIY CAI Duct: Part # 8741 $19.99
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...741/22906020-P

I did not need to use any clamps. The Spectre PVC couplers were attached by their elasticity.

So an improved design $450 intake for only $84.76!!!

Nice work! How much did the Dinan bits cost? I didn't know they sold them separately.

Great job! I didn't know they sold them separately either. Now you've got me wanting to do this to my AFE intake box.

Once I found out I jumped on it. I saw someone mention in a post on bimmerforums mentionnthey bought the snorkel. It's a big pain to go through dinan however. They use some three tier credit card verification and could not get 3 of my cards to go through. I ended up finding a dinan dealer here in Ohio (Lerich LMS BMW) who helped me out. Sweet shop btw 335s for days. It was $97 for the parts. So $450 intake for $97!

I actually could sell my dinan scoop if anyone is interested since I mounted through the fog light. Once I get home and find the actual price I can let people know how much. (It'll be cheaper than new since I already riveted it to my brake duct. ACTUALLY; I'll trade someone mine that is already mounted to the brake duct in a change for theirs rather than drilling out the rivets.

I need assistance locating a led angel eye ring to go around this to mimic a fog light. I've found them, but nothing with any decent reviews. My best bet so far is a set on amazon with a three star rating. I need to be able to adjust the color to match my current fog/turn signal led color pictures below. I feel if I just get a yellow one it will be too amber. Can anyone point me towards a reliable set of multicolor led angel eyes? They'll be directly in the elements as well so preferably with a diffuser.

I had no issue getting the snorkel. It was $30 and they used my debit card to collect payment. I told them I bought a used intake though and that the snorkel was damaged or missing

Dumb question but how is airbox removal and reinstallation with the airbox inlet and duct installed?

I actually haven't removed the box since the install, but it may be a slight pain to reposition the duct to the airbus if I did. I'd probably need to remove the fender liner again to ensure fitment.

That’s the piece you bolt onto the stock US air box after cutting a hole? Then you run a pipe from that to front bumper. Can you confirm part#?

I believe he was referring to the payment process. I'll confirm the part #'s when I get home.

Week in and no issues. Other than not running my fog lights. Car feels great, sounds great. Cooler temps at night/morning (third shift) are a plus as well. Opened the air box after driving through harsh rains; no extra condensation on the filter. Angel eye install coming soon around the inlet hole to mimic a fog light and lead to question about my "burnt out" fog light.

I love this idea, however on the stock US airbox along removing the whole box you will now have to disconnect the duct as well when changing the filter....correct?

Update. Found a led angel eye kit for mimicking the fog light. I'm indifferent on the outcome. I need to wire up the passenger side as well to determine my final opinion. Ran out of time to do the second until this weekend.

@CTrink, I doubt those angle-eye "fog light" useful.
I doubt they will have enough illumination to work as fog light.

And if that's true, then what's the point?

As mentioned. I'm indifferent. They're actually brighter than the current LED fog lights, but they have no projection. Hence; why...

2022 update-
Just called dinan to order these parts
The snorkel is $18, but the brake duct piece is now $300+.
Will be using the snorkel and spectre hose to the fog light or something

Edit: just got snorkel in. The spectre hose couplers are too big for a seal to snorkel, and the hose itself is too small to fit over snorkel. I'm going to see what the dinan hose goes for.

Dang, that's a big price hike on the brake duct piece!
