440i collected

Wow what an engine!

Traffic on the M6 was an absolute disaster and it took me 13 hours instead of 8 so I missed my ferry back to Belfast. So did a bit of slow driving from around Penrith heading for SW Scotland. Economy is stellar. Brim to brim on a full tank of 450 miles was 35 mpg but over 40 on a 100 mile bit was good too!

The Lava Grey is also an interesting different colour. Security on the ferry commented on it!

Congrats and looks great, happy driving

Yes M6 was mental yesterday, as was the Toll road, I even had to queue to get to my lane on the Toll road, even then had to drive around the odd car blocking my lane.

Congratulations Doug, it's a fantastic engine in a great package. The motor just gets better with miles too.

Enjoy it

Hi

Lovely car! Enjoy!

Love the exterior colour with the interior colour combo!

One of the best combos I seen recently!

Thanks for sharing the pic!

I'm with you on that one - toll tag for the French autoroutes is very nice

DougMcL Lovely car and glad you got a chance to put some miles on your first journey - it only gets better and the colour is great too

Congratulations Doug. Little more splendid in the car world than a BMW petrol 6pot.

The colour is individual Audi Lave Grey.. don't know how it got onto this BMW!! I must say it's growing on me though it's not very photogenic. Economy is amazing even with only 450 miles on the clock!

Very nice combo - if only my OCD could cope with dark paint again - 4 years with a black sapphire BMW has scarred me for life...

Two more pics. Difficult really to capture the colour!

There is really quite a large metallic flake which pops in the sunlight. It make mineral grey a bit drab looking

Nice. Impressive mpg for sure, but what you have got from it's first 450 miles means you are driving it like a 1.0 fiesta. Once warned up, bang it in sport mode and stamp on the loud pedal. It just goes and goes, right into the 7000rpm limiter, howling all the way. Glorious. You can kiss good bye to ever seeing 40+mpg but who cares when it sounds this good and goes this well.
