Disklok size

Looking at getting a disklok for my 440i. After chatting to one of our neighbours who had 3 men in balaclavas try and gain entry to there property by climbing onto there conservatory. This happened last November around 8 in the evening while they were watching tv. seems they were trying to steal one of both of the jaguars they have even though neither are high performance ones .Done the usual security bits like ultion/patlock. House is alarmed as well. Now thinking of getting the disklok as a bit of extra protection. I take it it's the small disklok that fits the f32 msport steering wheel.

Yep small will be easily big enough.

Only thing I will say is the M sport steering wheel is a bit soft so the disklok can leave a slight indentation at the top of the steering wheel where most the weight of the disklok rests. I place a small cloth (the type used to clean spectacles) over the top part of the steering wheel before putting the disklok on to prevent this.

Garage List
Small size will fit - tried Fat Kid 1’s on Mine previously. Clears the paddles. You can buy a cover to protect the wheel once in place.

Stoplock Pro fits nicely over the M-Sport wheel and doesn’t leave any marks. Had one fitted to my M140 while I was abroad for two weeks, no marks when I returned, although I did take the precaution/recommendation to wrap a microfibre cloth around the bottom of the steering wheel where it clamped to it.

My stoplock pro kept leaving dents in the leather wheel so I bought a piece of leather from ebay and now wrap that around the wheel before putting on the stoplock pro. No dents now.

Mmm, think I’ll get one for my next car. I did a little job in Mayfair last year and used to walk down Davies St, past the Sunseeker showroom to a mews just off Berkeley Sq. There was always one of the new Phantom Rolls Royces parked near the Porsche dealership that had a disc lock on the steering wheel. I always thought that even the very latest Rolls Royce didn’t have the theft prevention technology to prevent it from being stolen. But then again, maybe it did and the disc lock was just a visual way of putting off those who don’t know any better?! I suppose it could save a lot of mess and inconvenience (for the chauffeur).

I’ve started putting the disklok on my F30 330d again. A few weeks back I caught three scum bags in the middle of the night checking the car out.
The disklok size is the small version and fits fine. Plus I also have the disklok steering wheel protector cover as well.
Will be fitting the disklok every night when the new M140i arrives next month !!

Hmmm, don't fancy stray ginger pubes on my steering wheel. Thanks but no thanks.

It’s a pain to do every night but I sleep at night better. My car key and disklok key are on separate key rings for me

Yes the West Midlands is the fat capital of the UK. I remember going on a Jolly boys trip to York with my mate a few years ago and noticed how attractive the women are generally up there (must be the Viking genetics) ... we popped into Birmingham on the way back.. I looked around and noticed the average dress size was clearly bigger than in York!

Coming from Newcastle originally, then movig here from Cambridge you can appreciate attractive women, fuck me West Midlands is Munter county.

Not just that, the majority are thick as well.

A night out in Yates Wolverhampton is an experience.

Also in other parts of the country, you can see a fat bird and think yeah she could be pretty.

Around here though, load of bus chasers.

Agree.. the West Midlands is only good for men with a fetish for obese women.

I find a trip over to Shrewsbury is a little easier on the eye!

Do any of you have knowledge of all the steering wheel lock products? Are these diskloks rated as the best, or one of the best options? It’s not something I’ve owned before so don’t know which is best. If I’m going to buy one, I don’t want one that is easy to bypass.

Thanks to anyone who has knowledge on these. I’ll do an internet search also, but it’s good to hear from people first hand who have maybe tried them out.

Cheers

I personally believe the disclock is the best option, with the bright yellow being the best. It is harder to get off.

There is the stoplock pro the old style bar that goes through the steering wheel, again hard to get off but cheaper, but steering wheel can be cut to remove them.

The you have the likes of Ghost but not visible.

I would only consider the disclock and stoplock pro, the rest are suspect.

Make sure that as well as the steering wheel cover you buy the Storage Case for your disklok, makes it easier to carry.
