Swapping over complete wheels and tyres.

Bought some wheels and tyres off a new car from a member on here a while ago and now ready to fit them as I’ve been running the tread down on my current ones. Wheels and tyres are identical size and complete with TMPS. Is it as simple as a straight swap over? I take it wheels will already be balanced, will the TMPS system work straight away or do the sensors need to be coded to the car?

Are the wheels and TPMS sensors from the same model year? Or different model year?

Mine is late 2015 LCI model the new wheels came from a 2017 shadow line edition. Original wheels are 442m new wheels are 704m.

I had a similar situation when I bought a new set of 704's from a dealer.

Just fit them & do a reset of the pressures in the tyre monitor section on idrive.

All works perfectly after that

You'll be fine. I have swapped my 2017 704m wheels for my 2014 400m wheels for winter with no problems. You just drive for about 2 minutes and the TPMS re-syncs.
