He's just looking at the menu - I am sure he's still going home for dinner.

Where do these cars go after launch events like this? They definitely are getting abused at low mileage.

If pre-production it's destined to be crushed. If production, they sometimes go into sales circulation as pre-owned or "demo" cars. Same goes for the driving school cars. As always, buyer beware.

They match them up with custom orders, get them detailed while they artificially advance your tracking timeline, and then ship them out for delivery.

Low miles, extremely cheap price for the build and usually Registered in Jersey. There was a thread around with tips on how to spot these cars.

Any official BMW driving school car, ( So any M school etc) is crushed or used internally after they are done at the track. They are never sold to customers. Press cars may be sold to customers, but I know for sure the poor cars from BMW driving schools are not considered sellable as far as BMW is concerned.

This doesn't seem accurate. There is even a thread dedicated to the sale. People have bought them as well. Anyways, my previous company had a plant near the Spartanburg plant. During the tour/question session this came up and they stated it's sold to dealerships who sell it to you. Granted they are reconditioned and there is a "checklist" they go through to make sure it's viable for re-sale, but regardless this does happen. At least this is what they told us.

I'd buy it at the right discount as long as it was at least allowed to be broken in before the abuse started. Although I guess how would you be able to validate this

When we were at Spartanburg in June, the instructors told us the cars go to auction because they've never been titled.
