New Car Modding on PCP

Thinking of adding M performance Kit and ACS springs and spacers to my 2018 435d Gran Coupe. Only thing i keep thinking is my car is on PCP, and realistically ill be trading in, in 3 years time for something shiny and new. Is it really worth modding the car so much if i have no intention to keep it long term and trade it in for something else?

Everytime ive come close to getting these bits sorted over the last 6 months. A little voice in my ear tells me its pointless. What do you guys think? How do you justify it? What do you do with all the mods come trade in time- as its something which i know will not add any value to the car if part exing with dealer

Longer you leave it the more pointless it is. If you'll enjoy your car more with mods and can afford it just do it.

In 3 years time?

Hmm, with the power of the forum you will be ditching your dirty Diesel and getting a 440i GC within the next 2 years.

The money you are using for your mods could be that extra option on your 440i GC...

I'd say don't bother - you will get nothing for it come trade-in. All I've done is black grilles, thought about MPPSK and ACS spring and decided against it.

two years?! pah we can do alot better than that.

I'd just do it now, you would have saved money on the acs springs as 440s don't have jacked up jelly for suspension, you get that noise, the rev range and they are faster... so basically it's cheaper just to get one now

If you bought a completely option less car because of the same thought process then no don't add modifications. Most likely you have got extra options that will also be worthless after your three years, so what's the difference?

I don't think the latest 2017/2018 435d need the ACS springs. The suspension has been modified and is much better than the older models.

Regarding the M Performance kit go for it, it's easy to take off and sell after the 3 years is up.

And if you do don't forget to phone BMW FS and ask their permission as they own the car and its in their T&C that you have to inform them.....

(pretty sure no-one does though, but have heard of examples where they found out and cancelled the agreement making the owner have to settle outright)
