Just done it. This forum sucks! 430d to 440i FFS!

God the 440i is good value...

And the trade in value of the 430d really sucked.

Just bought a Lava Grey, Opal Merino leather with really high spec with 10 miles on the clock.

Logged into Aviva to change the insurance and as others have reported got a refund of £30 for six months! Bonus!

Nice one! I've been having mine for almost a year, 10k on the clock, no complaints (well maybe except of the tyres).

Is Lava Grey an individual colour from those really individual ones (2k+ price)? Never heard of it.

When are you getting it? And of course it goes without saying that WE WANT PICTURES!

Congrats, well done.

However you do know that the M4 is the new 440i and that the deals make an M4 even better an idea than a 440i...

Off you go back to the dealers

Oh it’s a convertible, that’ll drink even more petrol!

Great spec mate, only thing missing is ACC, which is marmite anyway.

ACC? Is that the active cruise? Had it on various cars.. we don't need that over here as there are no motorways to speak of.. Every time I used it on other cars it drove me mad and I turned it off. Maybe I would have liked the active suspension!

As I say, it’s marmite.

Yea I have adaptive suspension, but have driven both an F31 & F36 M Sports without it recently and they both drove absolutely fine.

30d seems to carry a premium over the other engines when it comes to insurance. My 330d is extortionate to insure. No idea why.

agree with that, pisses me off when you have to wash your hands 5 or 6 times to get rid of the diesel smell!

Still, it’s worth it for all that torque!

Trouble is I have no idea what the colour looks like. All the cars for sale at Park Lane in London were Individual colours.. Blue of some description but I didn't want a black leather interior. The other two were Ruby Black and this Lava Grey! Ruby is the red equivalent of Carbon!

You won’t have time to worry about the paint colour, you’ll be too busy constantly cleaning those Opal seats!

I don't miss a lack of torque since I got rid of the 30D u

Best thing I ever did. Thought I would miss the 530D but haven't given it a second thought.

Yes the average MPG has dropped from 45 to 27 but the power has doubled and the enjoyment has quadrupled
