What are people's top list of mods and if they've been done
Looking at things to potentially change, I wondered what others have changed or plan to change, ideally in priority order.
For me: (435d M Sport F33) 1. performance pack detailing (came with the car) 2. 20" alloys 3. fix non biting spongey brakes - new fronts added and brake fluid change done, not yet run in, fingers crossed it helps (not confident it will) 3. swap to non runflat MPS4 (or whatever the name) tyres 4. ACS Springs to reduce jelly ride, and the bonus of lowering due to xDrive - not done but, springs and dampers (acs sports suspension) and 12/15 spacers booked in for fitting 3. spoiler 4 tint rear windows and back window 5. remap 6. LCI LED rear lights in blackline performance - expensive for a minor mod and not available on f33 for some reason - considering tinting them but don't know if it will look tacky altho it would match all the black detailing on the car 7. not sure what else to consider that doesn't break the bank.. hence the post really, to consider ideas |

Only two I'd consider for my F31 330d xDrive are the ACS springs (purely based on intrigue from the hype on here as I don't actually have many issues with the handling) and a remap.
Not interested in cosmetic upgrades as I like the way it looks and function over style is more important in my car. |

Never regretted ACS springs for 330d xdrive. Worth every penny.
Not done anything to M40i - as just doesn’t feel like I need to do anything. Like what has been said on current M4 thread, you may actually save £ by getting better models with standard kit. |

On my 335d it was:
1. ACS RS coilovers 2. Larger rear ARB 3. Remap 4. Ditch runflats for MPSS/MPS4S 5. Big brake kit up front 5. M Performance side skirts and roof spoiler for tourer

Well, I'm not really into heavy modding, but this is what I've done to my F31 335i M-Sport (s-drive):
- ACS springs. Well worth doing - improves roll and wallow, provides a slight lowering and fixes the problem whereby the front arch gap is bigger than the rear. - Non RFT MP4S tyres - As big a difference to the car's feel as the springs. Bridgestone RFTs that came with the car were noisy, crashy and had a tendency to let the car skip sideways on unenven surfaces when cornering. - Various E-Sys tweaks - esp the fix to separate the screen brightness from the interior ambiance light level. |

MPSS (at the time), now MP45S.
ACS springs; uprated ARBs; spacers. Quaife LSD. Stoptech front BBK. Remap. Remove ACS springs, install Ohlins coilovers. SuperPro bushes, Vorshlag top mounts, full corner-weighed geometry.

Mods in order-F31 335d
ACS Springs Remap Black grills - wrapped the originals Spacers 20" 624's - took them back off as ride too hard Replica front splitter, vinyls and side blades - rear diffuser still to go on Back box delete with 340i Style dual exit - bought from Nisfan 437M's with MPS4S Upgraded rear ARB - bought from Nisfan but not fitted yet I didn't plan to do any mods at all! Only thing left now would be coilovers and a triple turbo engine with updated gear and transfer boxes. Or swap to an M4 CP or CS |

Mods done on F30 330e:
Fitted black grills Rear M Performance rear spoiler Rear M Performance diffuser Front M Performance front splitter. Although it makes the front a little too low with certain speed bumps. To do: Tuning box while under warranty, then possible remap. 19" wheels and maybe a change to non run flats Upgrade brakes to M sport Upgrade 6.6 screen to 8.8 Possibly for a front strut brace |

My brakes are very spongey and weak and if all other routes fail I may just get a big brake kit upfront to fix the issue |

http://www.birdsauto.com/parts/M3034925365 £3k plus vat for supply and fitting though. They are immense though, and got them after annoyance with the spongey feel and the fading of standard ones on track use. If mine don't fit the M4 then I may be putting them up for sale.

Thanks tengocity much appreciated. Someone on here has the same. I don't get why brakes are so expensive.
But did you find they totally fixed the spongey brakes and now give a sharp bite passed pushing down a certain point, or is it still a mechanical feel where you have to press harder and harder for more 'breakage' And if I did upgrade in the future (it's costly), is it better than the Performance brakes upgrade that's a similar price when including fitting Thanks in advance Edit: I'm not as fussed with fading issues as I wouldn't be using it on tracks, do you know if they go a cheaper one that gives strong bite and stopping without as much emphasis on the fading. |

Without a doubt getting a tuning box on the 340.
2nd was setting the exhaust flap to always be open to get extra burble, growl and pops and bangs. 3rd various coding bits especially radio switching off when you open the door and start stop always off. |
