information on braking pads in the iDrive

Hi guys ,

I was wondering why in the iDrive , I can't find the information on the actual state of the brake pads.

I can check the oil level , the next oil service etc ... but nothing on brakes.

Is it because I have the CCB ?

hey,
I had the same problem on my F10 with steel brakes, talked to the dealer about it and they fixed it when the car was serviced.

May be that CCB can't have the "reader" that says how many miles they still can hold.

I've just asked the question on the CCB post.

the pads have to be changed even on CCB so i think it should show on the service requirements. it's interesting to see what what other ppl have to say about this

For people constantly bitching about the "crappy" rear caliper...

Quote:
6 pistons press on the front brake pads of the carbon ceramic brake, whose calipers are fastened to the wheel suspension. At the rear, however, are floating-caliper brakes with a single piston. Due to the inertia of the car mass, most of the weight is distributed to the front wheels, which is why the high-performance M carbon ceramic brakes are needed there. Floating-caliper brakes at the rear are more than adequate.
