Who in the US got ED?

Just curious as to how many people in the US who wanted ED got ED?

...how many were denied?

(Seems like a poll would be good here, but I don't know how.)

I tried, stealership didn’t have an ed allocation at the moment and they were letting me get one at MSRP so I put the deposit down and that was that

They let me have ED, but they tried to switch me from 1st to 2nd allocation after I had given a deposit. I pitched a fit and got my way!

Several dealerships that I spoke to would not do an ED.

I kept looking until I found a dealer that would. Had to wait a long time for an allocation, but picked up my '18 LCI this past April/May. Wonderful experience.

Best part is my wife started talking about wanting to do it again for her next car;^)

To avoid confusion, states ED MSRP or US MSRP.
I almost certain NO dealers will discount ED MSRP on M2C (probably ever).

on ED, dealers lose back-end incentives, while retain all of back-end incentives on US delivered cars; that lose money has to come from customers unless you own a dealer

I received my ED packet in the mail and it says in there winter tires are required to be put on starting October 14 to April. I choose October 2 so I can experience some Okotober fest festivities as well. The dealer selected October 9th for me for my ED pick up but I changed it to the 2nd.

Awesome, that's why I was changing also. Tried the 3rd but that is a Holiday over there. And the 4th was already packed because probably all the 3rd deliveries got rolled to the 4th maybe.

Just confirmed 5th

If you find an allocation for ED, it doesn't matter which Production week it is. The ED department will try and adjust the build date to match your preferred delivery date. My allocation started out as week 40 and was moved to week 33 by the ED department at BMW NA. If you want to do a delivery at the Welt by the end of September, you'd better find an allocation now.

Mine was week 40 build. Called them and they could alter the production date to accommodate my delivery request.
