MPE - Help finding a good deal

Hi all,

Looking for some advice. Currently struggling to find a reasonable price for the MPE other than on a well known online marketplace. I am starting to wonder if buying the exhaust on its own and then having a garage fit it seperately will be the better option.

Anyway, if anyone has any recommendations on where I can get a good price (fitting if possible), please drop me a PM. For reference, I'm in the south east, so something local would be preferable.

Thanks!

Try:
https://www.cotswoldgroup.com/bmw/se...d-accessories/
They give discount to forum members.
I live in Kent and have driven up to them as they are much cheaper than my local BMW dealer, talking 100s cheaper. Experience was really nice as well, great place.

I myself am also looking for an MPE exhaust system. Please let me know if you do get through to someone who indeed can offer a better price. (I will also do some shopping about)

I'm actually looking at them as an option if I can't find a good fitting fee. They offer the exhaust for a good price, so I may get it shipped from them and then fitted elsewhere

Only in Germany (for now). German law has the potential to leak into EU law though, so it may come to the rest of EU at some point.

Yeah I've already read through the thread extensively, I think the OP initially got the impression it was EU-wide but turns out it's not which is why the thread title was renamed from EU to Germany. Should be safe for now *fingers crossed*

Hi,

Is anyone local to Manchester with an MPE fitted that I could possibly listen to in person?

Thanks all.

To give a quick update for those interested, I managed to get a reasonable deal with Barons of Farnborough. Nothing mind-blowing, but more reasonable than most of the surrounding garages.

I would also like to give a shout-out to Tony at BMW Harry Fairbairn. Their quote was definitely the best, but I decided to go with Barons simply because it was more local and made sense in case I needed to go back with any issues.

I will say however, you will likely have to fight for a good price. Nearly every garage I spoke to just quoted me list price to which my immediate response was 'try again'. Even with that, some garages thought it was reasonable to 'apply maximum discount' and knock off about £200 to which I simply refused to engage further (I hate being mucked about).

That said, I should be getting the exhaust fitted within the next week. I'll report back with my thoughts!

Cotswolds have it advertised as £2300 delivered, so quite a considerable discount?

Definitely, unfortunately I wanted to get the exhaust fitted as well so I opted for a local dealer just so I could go back to them with any problems and hold them accountable for product + fitting. In the end, this meant I had to pay a bit more.
