330D Stick to the left feels faster than sports mode
I'm sure the fastest mode in the 330D should be the stick to the left and sports mode.
But I get a much bigger push into the back of my seat with the stick to the left and in comfort mode. What is the reason for this? Or is it in fact quicker to have the stick to the left and in comfort mode. |

The shifts may be more delayed with the stick to the left, so it depends on how you drive. There's more throttle response in sport. If you're doing both sport and stick to the left it may feel faster.

"Feels" FWIW....
It's not really in "Comfort" mode with the gearshift to the left--the transmission goes into Sport Mode, but not anything else which would change with Sport Mode by the button. |

putting the shifter to the left put the transmission to sport meaning the shifts are at high RPM range therefore you feel like its pulling harder

Personally i use Sport Mode when taking off from standstill (e.g. when im stopped in lane and want to change lanes that has moving traffic), as that gives me the sharper throttle response.
When I am just cruising along, I prefer to use the Transmission DS, as i find it smoother and since I am moving already, I don't necessarily need the sharper response. |
