What color stitching with Hockenheim Silver?

Hi all, I prefer the orange stitching vs the blue, but I'm concerned it may not go as well with Hockenheim Silver and/or the other M-colored stitching inside the car. I also haven't seen any pictures with the orange stitching on HS, so I'm not sure if this is going to be an odd combo. Regardless of exterior color, I don't even think there are high quality pictures up close of the orange stitching next to the stitching of the steering wheel and belts. Thoughts and/or pictures would be welcome!

I'm in the same boat. #1 allocation at my dealer. I need to decide asap. I think blue is the safer choice. Matches better with m colors. Although I agree the few shots or orange look a bit better. I'm 95% going blue with HS.

I wonder if the blue inserts could be re-dyed black.

I am going to go with HS with blue stitching. I think silver is a cool color and orange is a warm color. Pairing them up may be jarring IMO. Sticking to cool blue.

I take orange and install the M4gts steering wheel with orange center line!

Silver is a neutral exterior colour... so both blue and orange will work well inside i think

My thoughts...

Gray and orange is a good combo, so HS should work fine with orange.

Blue is the safer choice.

Orange brings more contrast against the black leather and stands out more.

Personally I'd pick blue since it's more versatile. Not a fan of loud colors generally.

I think they will both work, but blue matches the seatbelts and the stitching on the steering wheel better.

M4 GTS seems to work well with M colors, having orange accents all over and a giant orange roll cage inside the car.

I will be going with Orange. To me it looks better than the blue.

Also the HS color seems to look white in certain lighting and I had an Alpine White 1M which obviously has the orange stitching. Not the same color but close enough as both neutral. Orange it is.

I think the blue “goes” with everything better than the orange, including:

HS exterior paint
M seat belts
M stitching on steering wheel
Red starter button

Now, if BMW let you go the Porsche route, and color code it all, then orange would be my choice. Because I would have the calipers, seat belts, etc. all match. But that’s just me.

I had Guards Red calipers, seat belts, and various interior tri pieces on my 981 and it was fucking awesome.

I just locked in my order last night (first at my local dealer) and I went orange. Worried that the blue would be that baby blue like the stitching on the regular M2 seats. I do wish BMW would start doing two tone interiors like Audi does on some S and RS models.

LoL, I get what you're saying but people like to color coordinate, and you know deep down it has nothing to do with gender..

The stream of blue stitching in the M2 and also the orange stitching in 1M looks so rich and masculine! I could totally understand why folks would like to continue that theme.

Well this isn't a very inclusive statement now, is it? To answer your question, perhaps because it is a sizable purchase and we want to get it right! Or, perhaps we don't want to feel like a box of fruit loops exploded in the car.

Any chance you're the type that wears sandals with socks?

Back on topic.. I tend to agree the blue matches the other interior trim better. Looking at the interior back seat pictures in the below Sunset Orange thread makes it look like the orange stitching doesn't match well with the belts.

I'm going with blue as it looks like an "M" color....
