Issues with updating CIC maps
Hi guys,
I have a 2009 335i with CIC navigation. When attempting to update the nav using the 2018-1 maps, which I downloaded from the torrent on this forum, (via DVD), I get an error message stating that the map data in the car is corrupted, and to have it checked by my friendly BMW center. The prompt pops up immediately, before loading the maps. I've tried a number of DVDs - the first one was burned using the UDF filesystem, and I didn't realize that the car couldn't correctly read that filesystem- I entered my FSC, and the map got to 0.1% copied before erroring out. All subsequent attempts have yielded the first error message immediately after the car detects the DVD. The map screen in my car does have a check in the "i" section of the map, but whenever I try to insert my USB stick (16GB Cruzer Slide, new from Best Buy), nothing pops up on the nav screen. Thoughts? I have access to both MacOS and Windows. Thanks, Hoody |

Did mine last night following the instructions on this thread>> http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1461515 worked first time!
I used a 32gb USB stick plugged into glovebox USB, ensure the pkgdb folder and config.nfm files are copied to the root of the USB stick. |
