LOL @ this blogger

Guy's got his head so far up his own ass.

Check out his blog post about the amazing job he did hunting down and fixing his "oil leak," which was actually an ancient oil filter whose gasket had literally decomposed.

"Something I couldn’t do – no. I can do it all."

Lots of humor here... his ten-point jacking job with wheels supported on some shitty wood stacks, the state of his oil filter, the embarrassing crap he's draining from his oil pan... the list goes on.

https://www.jaygaulard.com/fixing-an...009-bmw-328xi/

My favorite part was when he talked about his brilliant idea of shampooing the engine down to help pinpoint the leak. First blogger who doesn't know how to use the Internet apparently. He begins the paragraph with, "Because of this great idea..."

Off topic, but I thought some of you fellow E90'ers might appreciate the laugh.

So this dude doesn't change his oil for 3 or 4 years because he doesn't drive much. Its every 18k OR..OR once a year which ever comes first.

I can't see but did he just place jack stands under the plastic skid guard? The car has 2 jack points on the side of the car right behind the front wheels as well as right in front of the rear wheels. Use those

Yeah I laughed when I read that part, and saw the date of the post and then date of last oil change.

Not sure why I'd expect anything different from a blogger who has a post titled, "Driving Through the Car Wash."

Just think how much of that filter particulate was circulating throughout the oil.

For someone who doesn't change his oil he sure thinks highly of himself.

"neither one would be tremendously tough to fix. Take time to fix – yes. Something I couldn’t do – no. I can do it all."

Except regularly change your oil filter. lol

The filter itself looks fucked and the colour of that oil is not right. Surprisingly enough, the filter element itself is really not that dirty though. Just very old oil and stupidity at play here.

Surprised he wasn't throwing any VANOS codes. Also that underbelly is CAKED in oil ew.

And someone please show this man how to properly use jack stands before he kills himself

"I told Laura that we should clean the engine with some Simple Green..."

"It was a chilly morning and the car hadn't been driven yet. This means engine was cold."

Classic

One thing I think he didn't do is let the engine warm up before doing the oil change. Someone let him know.

Such a tool.

Who the hell writes a blog post about the power going out? Or the exhilaration of driving through an automatic car wash?

The guy sounds like he's 12 years old

"Here’s an interesting photo of the car after it dried and I pulled it into the garage. I think I like this picture."

I was searching for something related to oil filter caps, at least I think that’s what it was.
