I'm looking to sell the N54 motor that is going to be pulled from my car in the next two weeks by a shop in North Jersey.


The motor runs but is burning oil with a consistent misfire on cylinder 4. Cylinder 4 leakdown test shows its not holding sufficient pressure. I believe the issue is isolated to cylinder 4 but only cylinder 3/4 were checked.

As far as i know this is the issue with the motor. trying to be as transparent as possible. Please don't buy this unless you know what you are doing

Ideally you wouldn't want to drop this motor into your car "as is" although it runs it does not run well.

This motor would be ideal for someone who is looking to do a engine build and is gonna be opening it up anyway.

I'm asking $1000 but i'm open to reasonable offers.

2010 N54 Engine out of a manual E90 LCI

Brand new valve cover 100 miles ago
Carbon clean done 2k miles ago
Engine was out of a CPO car and only ran with stock turbos
Oil changes every 5-6k
Always properly warmed up etc etc.



i'll also have a set of stock turbos for sale



Ideally i'd like to have the motor picked up from the shop but can arrange to have someone pick it up from my garage (Near Bordentown / Exit 7)

Yeah Its a pretty rare combination especially with a manual transmission
