How good are the bimmerlabs tune?

Wondering if any of you guys have used the bimmer labs tune the n52 does it offer any tunes that are similar power to tunes like AA or BPC which offer 10-15whp I have a stock 128i auto. Are there any dyno tests out their?

The free Bimmerlabs tunes are simply BMW tunes that bypass the Powerclass protection. This allows you to run a "BMW 330" Tune on a 328. There is still a little more power available from a full tune from BPC,AA or others.

This.

It's a factory spec 330i/130/Z4si tune.

And it allows you to 'use/run/turn on' a 3 stage intake manifold. Isn't that correct?

Yes, that’s the main point of the tune. I would also argue that it’s a better starting point for a custom tune than stock 325/328 software is.

Is there any point of running a 330 tune on a 328 without the IM?

No, you need the 3IM to benefit from the 330i tune

Yeah, but there's no burble option so IMO they're worthless.

You should hear my car - AA headers, muffler delete and the 130i tune. You'd most certainly think there's a burble tune.

Agreed. I’ve got burbles for days and no special burble tune just a performance tune.

I look forward to when they offer other tunes for the 328.

330 Stock tune- for upgraded performance and +3IM
330 PLUS tune- if there is any more power available

330 PLUS and + headers, exhaust, intake tune
330 PLUS and +MILVs

Now that would be cool.

How do you like the bimmerlabs tune? Did you have AA before and was there a difference if any.

I'm still on the fence, currently have the AA 3IM with AFe headers and secondary delete.

Can you give some feedback or recommendations. I'm just so tired of trying out different tunes and having the lack of support and not being happy with it after.

Thanks

The bimmerlabs 330i tune is free - start there. If there is something specific you're looking for, I'm sure Hass can build it. I was VERY happy with my BPC tune.

My car ran great with the Bimmerlabs tune. It gained considerable power when I moved on to the BPC tune.

Correct.

It's just allowing a 328 to use the 3SM and gets the gains from that. Basically, the same as a stock 330i then.

I really like the Bimmerlabs thing, I'm sure it will be something that will take nice shape in the future, so keep up the good work.

I have made a project and requested some file for a 323ia e90 (MSV80.0) that i fitted a 330ia motor with 3SM and now require the tune for it. My project only comes up with 4 stock tunes, so i have no idea.

I sent a mail via the contact link and i have not had any reply, I'm sure it will come. I'm very eager

Thanks guys

I'd expect Bimmerlabs to already have the edited 330i tune for your MSV80 - maybe try a 328i VIN.

If they don't, I converted my 323i to 325i spec. Found the powerclass byte address for MSV80 HW#7602220 and HW#8613000: see post here. You can download the original 330i tune and edit the powerclass byte yourself with a hex editor.
