COMMENTS

Now that the G05 X5 has been revealed, let's take a look at how it compares styling-wise to the outgoing F15 X5.

Dimensionally, here's how they compare on paper:

G05 X5 has 1.6 inch longer wheelbase than F15 X5
G05 X5 is 1.1 inches longer than F15 X5
G05 X5 is 2.6 inches wider than F15 X5
G05 X5 is 1.0 inch higher than F15 X5

Note: some of the F15 X5 photos are those of an M Sport with M Performance Parts and some are of the standard model.

Finally they give us a proper luxury interior. Not that shit on 5 series or budget interior like the X3. The only thing that looks out of place is that ugly steering wheel. that's definitely being replaced on the LCI (i'm willing to bet my house on it). Good job BMW, i'm just waiting on the X7, if this is the new X5 then the X7 will be my kind of vehicle.
release it already!!!

New car looks better from the side and has a gorgeous interior but the front is hideous and the rear is boring. That sums it up

Great comparison. I think the new X5 is going to look great in person. The wide flanks make it look M-ish. The M version will be boss.

I never quite liked the F15 outside of M sport guise. It was a very warmed over E70 with an Asian looking rear thanks to those awkward tail lights.

Interior finally looks modern and is easily best in class. Audi Q7 has a painfully boring interior design and don't even get me started on the turd that is the GLE. Mercedes still chugging on with that egg shaped car designed during its Chrysler merger.

It is sporty and much more luxurious inside; however, I cannot get over the massive and ugly (imo) kidney grills. Takes away from other aspects and lines on the vehicle.

Looks incredible. I've had 3 E70's and currently an f15. This looks so aggressive and modern while still retaining the classic X5 lines.

I like them, but I do think people will be shocked at how big the grille is in person.

Those kidneys do look so predominant and menacing compared to the outgoing model. I feel like they're more the nostrils on a bull ready to charge. They look like it's ready to charge.

Hmm, I have to see it in person.
I couldn't get an idea what can be done to it.

For sure the front will need a lot of help.
Side view and rear view are lovely already.

I never liked the wheel wells of the F15. G05 looks waaaay better from that perspective. Although 22's probably have a lot to do with that.

I think the exterior will grow on me like all new models but I have to say the interior is true luxury and all the standard features are amazing.

I will definitely get one after they get all the kinks out!

BMW with its monster grills is going in the wrong direction. They need to fire every person on design teams and start over

Looks great but 20”+ wheels with off road package is like tits on a bull. Would be nice to see some bespoke wheel/tire combo for the off road package.

Side profile is very nice. The taillights are my only gripe to be honest it's not that they're bad I just think bmw did a really good job of making their cars distinguishable from any distance and these blend in with the rest. I'm very excited to see the x5m
