Question Retrofitting Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

Good afternoon community.
Last week I became a lucky owner of a G30 530d after owning quite some bmws (e39, e60, e90, f30).
Long story short, I picked up an amazing deal with only 2000kms on it that spent pretty much 11 month doing minor trips around Berlin. The downside is, it comes without adaptive cruise control that I loved on my F30.
My question is, who can point me out in the right direction for retrofitting? I've found one shop on youtube that successfully did it, but it was just showing off, not even remotely the full process.
First of all, I already do have quiet some extras related to this:

S5AL ACTIVE PROTECTION
S5AS DRIVING ASSISTANT
S5DM PARKING ASSISTANT
S8TF Active pedestrian protection
S2TB Sport automatic gearbox
S322 Comfort access
S609 Navigation system, Professional
S610 Head-up display
S3DS BMW DISPLAY KEY

Driving and parking assitants are of course not "plus", therefor not properly "active". It's still cool that the car can park itself with non plus version.

So, I've been looking through parts that might be needed and so far I found:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=66_0422

Steering wheel buttons:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_5358 (#2)

Correct bumper grill:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_4074

As for wiring harness it seems to be standard for all the models, or am I looking at the wrong place?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_5010

Any idea what else is needed for ACC?
Coding wise, also any clues?
Any help would be appreciated.

ACC is part of Driving Assistant Program in the UK. I would have thought that would be the case across Europe. Isn't that the case?

As far as I understand, there are two options:
DRIVING ASSISTANT and DRIVING ASSISTANT PLUS packages.
The plus one has ACC integrated into it, or needs to be specified as a standalone option.
Unfortunately my vehicle doesn't have it, therefor the will to find some knowledge regarding retrofitting it.

Driving Assistance Plus is where you have semi-autonomous driving. It combines ACC with LKA, Traffic Jam Assist, etc.

If you have Driving Assistance package then you will have ACC.

Precisely. I don't have the "Plus" one, therefor no radar/ sensor on the front bumper grill. Neither my steering wheel has controls for it.

Cheaper and more cost effective to sell/trade the car and get a new one with the desired driving assistance aides from factory.

It's a shame. I was up for a challenge. Well maybe with time someone will figure it out and post a DIY. One shop in Malaysia did it already so must be relatively easy to do.

Ha, can’t blame him for that, I went back and forth between a 540 and a 550 and he ordered both for me and let me choose. I think I maybe have left it off myself.

I have the drivers assistant package, just not the plus. I believe mine should have most of not all of the sensors this should need with frontal collision, or at lest I think so..

HI Benny. I am in the same situtation as you. I ordered my 540i without the plus option in my driver assistance package. Was recently given a loaner with that option & it was amazing. Had the car for a week & used it every day in Toronto area traffic. There is a company in the US that does this retrofit. I am in the process of getting installed on my car. They ship you the kit with all the hard wear & install instructions & then your local dealership can code it.
they are called Bimmertech.

Send them an email with your vin#. That company in Malaysia told me to get a new car. The kit from Bimmer tech is $3,500 USD.

This is why my two absolute essentials for any new car for me are radar/lidar cruise control and a HUD.

Thanks for the info! I actually mailed them again and they agreed to provide all the info + remote coding for 500$. Still considering if it's worth it or should I just go with bimmertech.
I'll keep some updates posted here.
Cheers

Did you have your retrofit installed? By whom? I’ve got the same quote from Bimmertech and their recommended installer is very far from my place...

Nope, nothing yet. Singaporean firm didn't reply anymore even when I offered to pay for their services. Kinda stuck now but it's ok, maybe I'll upgrade to the LCI once it's out.
