IPOD Issue

I've got a strange problem with my new M550i. It happens about 2x a week. I hit the radio on to listen to my iPod. I'm currently using an older one in the car. It plays about 3 secs, resets, plays about 3 secs, resets and repeats this several times. It then starts playing the 1st song alphabetically on the iPod like it reset something. I can then search and pull up playlists and go to any song I want.
But the other day it never stopped the 3 sec resets until I got home, disconnected, and rebooted the iPod. I've connected to my iPhone and had the same issue.

Anyone else experience this? I've also had bluetooth issues so I prefer the direct connection despite this annoyance.

I have been using direct connect with my iPhone 6S. It works fine. I have a couple old school iPods (original connector) and I'll have to try those out and see. I'll let you know.

Richard, I'm experiencing the same issue with an old iPod I use just for music storage in the car.
