Learner drivers allowed on motorways from next week

I appreciate learners and motorways is a Catch-22 situation, but it does raise questions. E.g. if a driving instructor deems a pupil is ready to go on a motorway and that results in a pile-up, is the instructor culpable?

Motorways are safer and easier to drive on if they're not causing pile ups on local roads the motorways will be fine.

I doubt you'll be on one on your first lesson either, as far a culpability is concerned it would be dealt with like any other RTC.

Learners can't be any worse than most of the cretinous halfwit middle lane club.

Surely it must be the members on here doing that? They all apparently cruise at 90mph when you read the mpg threads

Having passed the driving test, motorway lesson(s) and a motorway test should be mandatory.

I'd already picked up a lot of knowledge/roadcraft as a passenger, but taking a 2 hour motorway lesson the day after I passed my driving test was probably one of the best things I did.
