My colleague Luke advertised some slightly used tyres on ebay yesterday as having "8mm of tread left".

We've already had an email asking if we have any right ones...

Possibly, because he's emailed back saying the arrows on his tyres face left and ours face right...

Which tyres are they? All the new ones i've had come with 7mm or 7.5mm these days!

Last year I had a set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3 which came with 9.2 mm all round but they don't last. Too soft.
