New tires

Hello guys, my car is due for tires in a week or so. I recently installed front bilstein b6 struts of the car which raise the height a little bit. I have seem a lot of people selling their wheels with tires so i was thinking on putting bigger wheel to compensate the gap between the fender and tire. I just dont know what would be too big. Its a 2006 330xi with 225/45ZR17. Any help would be appreciated.

No, don't do that. You need the same overall tire diameter at all four corners (especially since it's an AWD car). Bigger wheels and/or tires at the front will cost you $2500 ($1500 parts, $1000 labor) to replace your transfer case.

The only way to close the gap is to use coil-overs to lower the entire car. And then you would have wasted the price of the B6's.

Sory sory i didnt specify, im aware of the transfer case. People are selling all 4 wheels. Thee is some 225/45r18 but i belive those would be too big. Any ideas on a size that would be appropiate?

Ok, better. The "proper" size for E9x is 225/40R18 at all 4 corners (the size you note is for F3x cars, which have taller sidewalls). Or you do a staggered setup with 225/40R18 front, 255/35R18 rear; they have the same overall diameter)

But, those sizes won't close the "gap" - they are the same overall size/diameter as the 17" tires and wheels you currently have. Closing the "gap" requires suspension changes, not tire/wheel changes.

Go to tirerack.com and read their tech articles on offset, tire sizing, etc., before you proceed further.
