Hey guys, does anybody know if there is a salesperson in San Francisco that has experience with the individual program?

Carmelle Pretty sure you got answers to this yesterday. I'll post this incase any.. confusion.

BMW SPECIAL ORDER PROCEDURES
BMW of North America offers special order paints, upholsteries and trims for several models at an
additional price. All requests must be sent directly to your respective Regional Distribution Manager via
e-mail. Your Regional Distribution Manager then sends the request to the VIP Ordering Specialist to
research feasibility and pricing with the Factory. Once the feasibility and pricing is confirmed, a
response will be sent back to the Regional Distribution Office with the price and required lead time for
the request.

PAINT
Because the availability and feasibility of paint colors change frequently, the factory
does not have a set “list” of paint colors to choose from. A customer can make a
request to his/her BMW Client Advisor for a specific paint color or color tone (i.e.
“Laguna Seca Blue” or “a blue toned paint”) and we can inquire if that particular color is
available or what colors the factory can recommend as an alternative. Some paints
require additional lead time added to production of the vehicle; this will be
communicated to the Regional Distribution Manager when responding with the
feasibility. Standard pricing for special order paint is $4735 whsl / $5200 retail,
however, some paints are more complex and require additional costs which will also be
communicated to the dealer.

UPHOLSTERY
When requesting special upholstery, you must include the specifications of the order
(options & packages). This will allow the Factory to know which seats and content will
be on the vehicle; this will help determine feasibility. Special upholsteries will add
additional lead time to an order, but that will be determined upon the extent of the
request.

TRIM (Interior)
Please include what options and packages will be on the specific vehicle.

Once a customer decides that they want to proceed with the special order, you must fill out the
“Special Order Confirmation Form” below and send it to your Regional Distribution Office. The
Regional Distribution Office will then send the request to the VIP Ordering Specialist who will add the
special order option codes to the order. Once these special codes are added to the order, the vehicle
will be locked in 102 Status and no further modifications can be made.

That really helps clarify, thank you!

Most big dealership should have at least one Senior Client Adviser or a M Specialist there who has done it before and knows how it works, just ask for who they might be but to be completely honest most CA's see it as "extra" work and couldn't be arsed in finding out, learning something new, wanting to put in a little bit of extra time with a client and being the one to make it an even better experience for someone or even trying in the right way to stand out from other CA's.

I mean come on we're all friends here on the forums and can be honest with each other, but we all know your average Client Adviser would actually be surprised when they found out that the cars they're around all day for realsies........ have things....called engines in them

What questions do you have and what do you want to know? I'm quite familiar with the entire process and have done it quite a few times for my clients.

Individual will not be available until 2019 model year. Received verification from Bmw about a month ago regarding this topic.

Ugh...yea... it's frustrating going to all these dealerships where the reps have no idea about anything. Especially in cali it feels like they just have no need to since everyone has shitloads of money to throw around regardless :|

That said... luckily, thanks to a friend, I think I've finally found a dealership who's willing to take this on for me now. They didn't even bat an eye at the request; and what's more, even knew what individual options would likely be offered. So hopefully all goes well!

I have one that just finished production I ordered for a client with BMW Individual. Was it your BMW NA Regional Rep that told you or your contact for special orders?

Unfortunately its anywhere, where there is shit ton of money built up in an area. Before I was a CA, I was a chef for 16 years, 3 Michelin Star background, highly passion driven career, paid in chicken feed and it blows my mind how 85% of CA's don't know or care.

Moving on from the doom and gloom. Congrats on your buddy hooking you up and pointing you in the right direction. Good luck with moving forward and hope it all turns out well for you. If you ever want a 2nd opinion on anything feel free to reach out

It was my contact for special orders. They said no individual until 2019 model year about a month ago when I inquired.
