F90 M5 in Tanzanite Blue

Hi, I am new to this Forum and wanted to thank everyone for the interesting posts.

As I was very unhappy with the standard colors offerd I ordered my M5 in Tanzanite Blue Individual paint. It really looks good, I will post enclosed some pics.

Otherwise, after about 500 miles, mostly in efficient mode I have following comments:

Very refined car, very comfortable, great seats (wich are positioned a bit to high). It handles very nice, I like the steering and the breaks are great. I do have some squeaks before stopping the car.
I expected more power between 1000 rpm and 4000 rpm, a Mercedes E63 AMG S which I tested several times had more power from below. It somehow does not feel to me like a car with 600hp but lets wait till the run in period is over.

Otherwise I don't understand why the car always starts with the exhaust system in sport mode. Moreover it is annoying that I cannot set the M Head up display as a default mode. Both points are currently being checked with BMW in Munich.

I have the standard HK System and am very happy with it. I tried both systems (HK and BW) before ordering the car, the BW could not justify in my opinion the price.

I had before a Porsche Panamera 4S and am very happy with my decision so far.

I will keep you posted!

Looks great! I was torn between Tanzanite and Marina Bay Blue. I think they both stunning colors on the M5. For comparison, here is MBB.

something tells me your comment about lack of power down low is related to your driving mostly in efficiency mode.

I have the same opinion of the sound system.
I had the HK in my previous 650GC, and it sounded better than the BW in my in laws 750.
I opted for the HK in the M5 now and am pleased with it, although I don’t think the acoustics are quite as good as in the 650.

Great color, but someone needs to teach you how to take better pictures of a car. All I see are blue doors. I have to take your word for it that it's a BMW M5 F90. Could be a 550... could be a Toyota. Who knows.

BMW says that the Sport mode is the one with a linear function between angle of pedal and actual acceleration and that efficiency mode does have the described effect.

Isn't car governed up until 1200 miles and AFTER the break-in service is completed? You don't get all the ponies until after they unlock it post break-in.
