Does the 328i GM step trans rev match on downshifting like the ZF 335i trans?

Nooooo, it does not. Go try them out. The 328 step is pure crap. (I hate myself everyday for not testing it more carefully before buying) It is nothing like the 335 tranny. In fact, it is the same jerky, hesitant GM as in the X3. There are plenty post on this topic. Search.

Also, if you have the choice and want an auto, get the 335 (or wait for DCT)

Different trannys. Only the ZF rev matches.

My senses tell me no, it doesn't. I could be wrong. It is still a very good GM transmission that gets high praises in the CT-S / GT8 .

IT DOES NOT REV MATCH.

Try a 335 Step or Audi DSG and you will know what rev matching is...

somehow i was thinking step driver as in step son, step parents context when i look at the title.
