335i vs boxter S w/short video

ran in to my buddy finally with a Boxter S, no cats and chip...
All I have is the AA Cat back exhaust and a K&N filer.

Had 4 runs from a stop. The first 2 were no good, he left early, then I left early.
Run #3 was perfect, both left at the same time, he got a tiny jump on me (probably becuase he is manual and I have auto) and he stayed about a 2-3 feet in front of me until about 80-85. at that point I pulled ahead and started pulling away

My first run against anyone.. it felt good

here is a very short clip of the 4th run... I only got a few seconds and then the camerea pointed down because I started concentraing on the driving and not the camerea lol...not sure what happened here, I beat him badly... if he doesn't get a jump from the line, the boxter has no shot against the twins...

will make another one next week...full length!

just thought I would share how we rank against yet another competitor

No offense but its so annoying when people can't spell car names properly. It is BoxSter, just like many people spell their own "Infinity" with a Y. It is Infiniti.

What's up Heat!

I met Heat today when I was fueling up. I sae those nice exhaust tips and wanted to give it a listen. Very clean car, and nice dude. Turns out it was right after his run with the boxster. We went for a spin in my car with V2 since he had not been in a car with an ECU tune. I just may have given him the tune bug....

I also learned from Sleep how to launch properly....

with that in mind, I'm going to run my buddy's porsche again and try some different take offs...

had it in DS mode, but didn't use the paddles and from the line, just pressed the gas.
No increase of rpms, no paddles...

still took him in the last run and in the close one, he did jump out a few feet but at 80 it was all over, I not only caught up but started pulling away...

but, if I got a better start/launch, he would have had no chance at all to even keep it close.
