And how gutted I am now not to have watched an F1 race in person during those eras.

After a few years attending Goodwood now, I've come to realise that my favourite bit is now listening to previous era F1 cars go up the hill. Used to love the exhibitions and static displays, but now I can't wait to hear them and smell them!

Proper F1 sounds.

From 1996. Lucky enough to stumble across Werner Von Brauns nephew (German talking at the start). He owned Gehard Bergers 1993 F93A car plus a couple of others. He had brought it to Bitburg to do some shake out testing before the Ferrari 50th at the Ring the following week. It was that loud, it drowned out three helicopters turning and burning!
