Swapping Brake pads

I bought and installed Performance Friction -08 pads for my M240i. I also flushed the brake fluid with Motul RBF600 fluid. After a few laps at Sumit Point the brakes were suddering badly when slowing from 130mph to take turn 1 (http://summitpoint-raceway.com/track...point-circuit/). The brakes behaved the same during each session. Talked with a bunch of folks. The concensus is that the adhesive used in the factory pads had been desposited on the rotors during the VIR track event on April 1 & 2. However, the shuddering decreased in its severity during sucessive sessions. So, if you swap out the factory pads you're going to have to use 400 grit sandpaper to remove the stuff from the factory pads.

Did you bed in the new pads in the usual manner? I'd have thought that would sort of burn off the old deposits or replace them w/ the new. Or am I way out of date with how the new brakes bed in?

The PFC's are not supposed to be used with "used' rotors, and you should have aftermarket slotted/cross drilled rotors as the pads tend to out-gas.
