Best place to buy door actuators?
What is the best place to buy a set of rear door lock actuators for an E90 330xi sedan? My rear passenger door actuato has failed, it locks but will not unlock. I can't bring myself to pay $180 at the dealership for one. Thanks in advance.

There are several DIY's on them. FCP Euro has a lifetime warranty on all products they sell. They will price match too. Try not to buy the BMW Brand when possible, if you have a choice.

my left rear door had the same thing happen and wouldn't unlock to be able to open the door. I had to pull the panel off the door while it was closed to access the actuator and after about 3 solid hours of cussing and cuts (I wound up hitting the unlock on the keyfob while manipulating the locking mechanism) I finally got it to open. As far as replacement goes, I just bought a salvaged one on ebay from a wrecked e90 for like 45 or 50 bucks and it has worked fine since.

whoa whoa whoa!!! FCPEuro price matches? I have always bought parts from them because of their lifetime policies and their customer service nothing but glowing reviews from me. Now if they price match that takes them up to a whole other level.

I'm sorry but that's poor advice. The actuators fail because of the nylon gears inside deteriorate with age and then disintegrate. Used actuators can be near the end of its life and you will be doing this again in a few months. All this for a $50 part (if you buy in pairs) from the dealer?

Ive got one to sell from my E90. Bought it and never even unwrapped it because the car got totaled soon after. I believe its drivers side. Ill send pics and give you the best deal, can ship tomorrow. Had it for over a year and its just been sitting around.

Hi guys,
Can anyone be kind enough to tell me if the front left side door lock actuator for a 2007 320i E91 is a 5 pin or 7 pin? Many Thanks in advance! Ads |
