Is my car LCI or Pre LCI
This is so dumb but I'm having issues figuring it out. I bought a pair of black kidney grills for my car for the LCI because mine is a 2013 e92 and I thought they did the facelift for models after 2011 but they don't fit correctly can anyone tell me if it's LCI or Pre ?

Did you make sure the grilles were for a coupe and not sedan?

Thanks for the replies guys I knew it was an LCI so it's weird that they don't fit. Yea I made sure it was for the coupe I'm trying to get the double lined grills like the ones on the new M cars and the ones I got just seem to be too small for some reason. Most of the pictures I see of them seem like they are too small honestly but they all say that they fit so I'm kind of in a pickle here.

My E92 was manufactured in October 2010 as a 2011 so it's a LCI. You can tell by the LED headlights and tail lights. The hood is the same as pre LCI i think. I bought and installed the M4 style black kidneys in my E92 with a perfect fit, I believe that's what you're looking for.

1) open the hood 2) remove the front of the air intake (I had to do this to install the ram air scoops) 3) I then installed the kidneys, popped them in from outside 4) once in place, I stuck one hand from the inside and pulled each tab in, while pushing the grill with my other hand from the outside. I bent the tabs slightly enough for them to be secured but not enough to break them. They weren't as loose anymore but they're not snug either, however, it made a significant difference. I've been driving like this since January and they haven't fallen off or moved.

Yeahhhh. If you buy aftermarket parts, especially from eBay, you unfortunately can't expect them to fit like OEM. Buy OEM if that's what you are looking for. It's just part of the game man. Glad y'all are able to "make them work" though (Ross, etc.).
