Is this the way it's supposed to look ?
Just noticed that my engine has some weird cuts on it. The car is brand new 2000km.
In the last picture the black thing makes a weird clicking noise after the engine is off. Not all the time, but noticed it. |

That is WAAAAY beyond getting your car keyed!!! Someone sliced you engine! Just messing with you. All of us in the US would not know b/c we cannot get the diesel engine to compare it

The black thing is the Flux Capacitor and is necessary if you ever hope to travel again. Can't make the machine work without it. It was only recycling and getting ready for the next trip.
I do think you are a bit paranoid, though. Remember that the only ones who complain about their cars are those with problems. You know - "the squeeky wheel gets the grease." Most of us drive our cars without any problems, real or perceived. |

The black thing that makes a weird clicking noise is actually the 'Black Weird Clicking Noise Module' (BWCNM). Perfectly normal.
As far as the cuts go, I'd push BMW to give you a new engine, but that's just me... |

Why does everyone become an asshole when someone is a bit paranoid? I understand it's more than what a normal person would do, but don't start telling him off...
To the OP: I have no clue if that's normal or not, but rest assured that you're covered 4 years/ 50k Miles (or w/e that converts to in KM) It's just out of the factory, probably got some dust on it's way here, and as for the parts...I think most if not all Diesels are made the same way... |

Aw c'mon - we're just playin'. Chances are pretty good if you've ever bought a BMW, you've been this anal retentive at some point, present company included. I don't know about you, but I'm laughing with him, not at him.
Oh, OK. I'm laughing at him, but no harm intended... |

I'm definitely laughing with you - I've just been fortunate to have been around
people who schooled my ass early With that said, immediately return the car and lemon it - Don't waste too much time!!
