Android Version 8.0 Oreo USB not working

I upgraded my phone to the latest Android Oreo release. After which the USB connection stopped working in my E90 3 series LCI . Wondering if anyone else has the same issue and if there is a fix/workaround. Been looking at USB BT mini adapters but not sure if they're compatible with BMW.

Are you saying your USB is not working, as in no power? If so, check if a fuse has blown.
Sorry I can't help if there is power and you have some kind of connectivity problem with your Android.

If you're using the phone as a USB storage device (mp3s stored on the phone for playback in the car as a 'usb' device)

Watch your phone screen for a notification when you plug it into the car's USB port. This will sometimes appear silently on the phone so you may need to 'swipe down' and look for notifications at the top of the Android screen.

For newer versions of Android there is a security feature that will ask you to authorize a device attempting to connect and access data via USB. You'll need to ok the data access before the car can see your phone's USB storage.
