a8b2 a8b3 rear indicator error e90

Hi. I've had this problem where I get a fault code and errors when starting the car but both rear indicators work fine. I've read a few other posts that are similar but don't seem to solve my problem. Did a record recently using ista and still didn't seem to fix the problem. One thing i noticed is that i have a 2008 320i e90 but lights seem to be different feom other models, they are led like the LCI model but mine is pre. Any ideas on what I might be missing? thinking its software related as it happened at the same KM count but not sure. Thanks.
