Tail lights always lit?

I noticed that my tail lights are always lit, regardless if I'm in the sun with the switch set on auto, or even if I turn the switch off. Is there a way to turn off the tail lights if the DRL's are running? I tried

but no luck. Thanks

No, you can't. If you want the angel eyes on in the front, the tails have to go on with it. That's for the coupe that is.

I just think that they're unnecessary during the day time...

Oh well, not a big deal - just curious about the tails.
