Steering Wheel lock ? (M-wheel install)

About two months ago i had my first steering wheel lock problem. Today after work it happened again. Both times i was able to get the car to start after locking/unlocking the doors and inserting the fob (i have CA).
Now to my question, my M steering wheel just came in. Should i install it or wait until i get an appointment and get the dealer to look at it?

I would wait otherwise they might try to blame it on your work (or install it and take it out when you get around to taking your car in!)

It's an easy install, & I know you want it now, but wait. And if you can, wait untill you can confirm that dealer fixed problem. Get thee to the dealer ASAP.

its a common problem for the e90s..so i doubt they would blame the work you did on the wheel for it since they have nothing in common...

I'd wait too, do not give them any excuse to blame your work. Unlikely but at least you can be 100% sure they can't if you wait.
