E92 Caliper Paint
This is my first time posting on the forums, even though I have been looking around at them for a while. Looking for some opinions as I want to paint my calipers and am tired of the dull look. Looking to use G2 paint but stuck between yellow and blue? Car is space grey with Black accents.

Why paint relatively small calipers a bright color? It’s not like they’re M sized. I went with black.

My vote is silver. Just cleans them up. The brakes arent anything special so why to show them off? At least thats what I did and I love how it turned out.

Cars need to have a colour theme as one of the others said above me.
Unfortunately from factory you have a number of colours Tail lights = red Wheels = usually silver, yours are black body paint = anything, yours is grey trim = silver or gloss black if you have shadow line trim My car I was lucky, black body, black window trim, black wheels, so there aren't too many conflicting colours. If I were you I would do gloss black, gloss red or gloss silver. Never do a flat colour, they should be shiny Here are mine Ive always loved orange and black, so thats my cars theme. Black paint, black wheels, orange calipers and number plates.

My vote would have been black or the blue. Post pics after, let's see how they turn out.
Mine are currently red. Personally I am against painting calipers. I painted mine when I painted my wheels due to a recommendation from a friend. At first I wish I hadn't painted them red, but now that the car is all black it does break up the monotony of all the black. |

painting rotor hats
So I have not gotten around to painting yet, but I want to paint my rotor hats, probably black with some high temp VHT spray. Can anyone tell me if I can paint the entire hat, even the part that the wheel face sits on? Anyone who has done this please chime in I just wanna do the job right.

I did black since the rear caliper is so tiny. Black blends in nicely and is not a rusty eye sore when looking through the wheels.
If you had actual 2 pot or more calipers I would do vivid color like yellow or red. EDIT: Lol funny finding my old post here as I am now looking for color ideas on google and ended up here. I'm actually going to try yellow in the upcoming week. Fk it I don't care they are one pot, the fronts still look beefy enough to look sporty IMO. I really like yellow - think it is my favorite, however, the M calipers on the new 3 series are blue, so maybe that might look a bit more OEM? Personally, I did my old vehicle calipers in gloss black and I was quite happy with them. Very understated but looked nice.
One thing to note - under no circumstances paint the brake pads when you do the calipers. I hate that and it makes it look totally rice and like absolute trash.
