i think my car DOESN'T come with a tilt down side mirror

guys, you will all find this hilarious. i've been trying to figure out if my car has a passenger mirror that automatically tilts down when i reverse. i searched around and i tried to make sure the mirror adjuster knob is in the 'driver side' direction.

is there anything else i can try?

i really think my car just does not have this feature. i have a '08 328i sedan with manual trans, xenon and sport package only.

I dont know about the sedan but my coupe doesnt have premium package and the mirrors still tilt.

I dont have Premium on my car and it still folds when backing up. I thought the tilting feature is standard on all cars. It's just those without ZPP don't have the folding feature.

i don't have it on my E92 and it's kinda hard to back up, because visibility is not all that great...

i have a 328i coupe with no premium package and my mirrors do not tilt or fold back.

put the mirror switch into the "left mirror" position. Then set your car to reverse and see if the mirror tilts downward.

It does not list tilt mirrors.

Interesting enough, it does list headlamp washers and chrome tailpipe covers as a standard option. I don't have either. Actually, i do have tailpipe covers, but they are matte silver. Chrome ones are $35/each from the dealer.

I feel like only my right mirror tilts down when I reverse? I'll give it a shot later today

The 'switch button' needs to be on the left position, if it's on the right, your mirrors won't tilt.

Tilting of a passenger mirror is standard. It was standard on my 2006 325i and it is standard on my 2008 328i. It even worked at the beginning

Just recently I noticed it simply stopped working. The switch is in the left (driver) position and when switching to reverse (AT) the passenger mirror does not tilt down. I believe it is simply malfunctioning. I have not had time to go fix it yet.

Nope. If you have power seats, you have the tilting passenger mirror. My car (a 2006 325i with power seats) has the tilting passenger mirror, my daughter's car (also a 2006 325i w/o power seats) does not.

switch to the left. no power seats no mirror tilt.

LOL yeah i never even thought about having tilt mirrors until i saw this thread.
