Long Crank after Fuel Pump Replacement!
Alright so I had my HPFP replaced about 3 weeks ago due to the original failing. Now, for three days the car has been cranking alot (3-5 sec) before firing up and it gets progressively worse everday. This is exactly what happened last time before leading up to the fuel pump being replaced. I think I have cause to worry again and that I should take it to the dealer. What do you guys think? Should I take it to the dealer to get checked out or am I just being paranoid? Your thoughts/input would be appreciated.

I thought mine was failing this week 2008 only 1700 miles and the long cranks started money if the car sat overnight or more than a couple hours during the day, but today now that it cooled off it is fine, I think it might be the heat or the fuel or both, but keeping an eye on it and going to try different fuel.
Good luck with yours, hope it isn't another pump! |
