What type of headlight bulbs are in our M3's?

E90 = ???

E92= ???

A D1S bulb is used in all e9X applications (Xenon).

Yeah, but how in the hell do you get to it? I was looking at my headlight and it looked like you have to take the entire housing out.

BMW doesn't tell you in the manual because they're 25,000 volts and don't want people messing with them. It appears there is not enough clearance to remove the HID module without pulling the headlamp unit.

The wheel will have to be removed or turned to lock in order to reach the access panel in the fender liner.

All E9X vehicles use a D1S replacement, we carry these in upgraded color temperatures if you want a replacement.
