Engine misfire

I’ve gotten codes p29d2, p2e18, and P29cd. I just replaced the coil pack for cylinder 1 probably 5000 miles ago now it’s misfiring again. I tried to replace the coilpack for 6 still misfiring. Also I can’t find anything on the code p2e18. Need some help finding out what’s wrong.

What’s the mileage on this car?

Have you replaced the plugs?

57k not yet I just got a 14mm Socket for it and it doesn’t seem to work. It should though.

There is a specialty 14mm thin walled sockets most have to use on the plugs, if you're not already sure it's the right one.

There was a thread with the same P2E18 code a while back and it seemed to be "fixed" in a weird way if you want to take a look..

As the other poster said, you need a 14mm thin-wall 12 point socket. I got one on Amazon by searching BMW spark plug socket, but you might be able to find one locally.

I would inspect the wiring to the ignition coils as well.

Coils then plugs are the first things you should check for a misfire. I would go ahead and replace all the plugs, but swapping just the one should be sufficient to fix the issue.

P2e18 is engine control fault in DME. P29d2 is cyl#6 misfire. P29cd is cyl#1. Considering you have now fault code for battery and temperature sensor is possible that dying alternator or battery are the cause. I would look into that.
