Input needed on adding led lights to tweeters

So I came Across a post on bimmerfest where someone was selling knockoff B&W tweeters and cover along with the led lights that plug and play into cars without B&W option.

Got me thinking if there was a way just to add the lighting to my HK speakers with the grill that currently there.

The guy wanted over $300 for the imitation tweeters and grill cover and lights. I would guess adding the lights wouldn’t be too difficult.

You should be able to just draw the power from the ambient lighting on the decor strips, just need to get some female pig tails that will accomondate the Chinesium tweeter disco.

Those are about 600 bucks here installed. 300 doesn't sound too shady.

I have them and they're actually pretty good. Much better than the stock hifi tweeters.

I fitted this retro kit recently, and I am more than happy with the kit.. I bought mine from www.gzcarphone.com .. which had the main speakers in the kit as well.. the sound is absolutely fine, the only issue you will have is that your tweeters do not come apart enough to install the fibre optic cable.. plus the main HK speakers are dark cones with a white/grey centre cone so wont look as effective when lit... go for the kit you wont be dissapointed
