Picking Her Up today...wheel gap measurement?

Howdy fellow 2ers

I am picking my 18 m240i alpine white xdrive today.

Domestication (shacking up with the GF) and a sorted history of coupes, including a Z4 coupe and 2 Cayman 981's have led me here

Anyhou, my SA sent me pics of the car after she just landed and the wheel gap is atrocious. I know the transport blocks were still in there in those pics, but does anyone know what the actual wheel gap should be once they are removed?

Looking forward to sharing the ride with you folks

Don't X-Drive cars sit higher than the RWD cars anyway?

The shipping blocks will certainly add about 1" in ride height. If you've got the square all season 225/40R18 setup, that too will make the gaps appear larger as the all season tires are narrower and get tucked more inside the fender. If you've got a black car, the gaps will visually look larger.

My 2016 M235 rwd 6mt on the adaptive suspension and OEM springs has the following ride height as taken from the center of the wheelcap to the bottom edge of the fender:

Front left: 13 3/4"
Rear left: 13 7/8"

Front right: 13 3/4"
Rear right: 13 3/4"

picked her up and the gap was not nearly as pronounced as I dreaded. There was a 440i being delivered (non-xdrive) as well and its gap was bigger than my xdrive, the msport suspension on my car must explain that.

Mine is a lease so I didn't bother to lower it, but if I could go back in time I would do it anyways. It's honestly the only thing I would change. Car looks like it's Baja 500 ready.

a lot manufacturers have the awd models sit unusually higher than rear drive. Happened on my old is350 and my friends Jag looks like it's on uneven stilts lol. I solved the problem with coilovers because I couldn't stand it.

I just measured my 2018 m240i 6-speed (rwd) and all the wheels are ~13 3/4" as well.

Nope, not really. Jerich0 is incorrect. See my post above.
