TIA!

Oh, I'm totally sure everyone who has plunked down money well in advance of announcement was able to negotiate significant discounts. Pretty sure the only agreement is that they are on a list. The dealer holds all the cards in this game.

MSRP in writing at 2 dealerships, but will not hold my breath.

I hope it works for you. We'll see what that MSRP ends up being.

Given past experience I can easily see "market adjustments" with dealers knowing that some will give up their spot on a list to others willing to pay.

u sir are absolutely correct. won't know until the dealerships decide if greed is more important than a long term relationship. I'm bout to drop 115k on a X5M for the wifey. but if BMW gives me the run around on price, I have 2 vehicles picked out at porsche that blow BMW outta the water.

What makes this forum great is if a dealer tries to renege or renegotiate a contract for more $$$ we hold them accountable and call them out for everyone to see. Most understand it's not worth the fallout and those that don't will learn the hard way.

I am definitely contemplating European delivery… just might be tough to get away from a toddler and a 5 year old for 10 to 12 days. But man would that be an experience. That's what grandmas are for right??

I was told there is no list and MSRP. But I live in the upper Midwest so probably not as high of demand. Waiting to see what MSRP actually is... if it's much more than a few K I'll probably order an '18

My pre-LCI was MSRP, $1,000 deposit, and 5 month build wait (2016 became 2017).
But be prepared when you go to sign the paperwork the Finance Manager offering a whole host of extra cost items (e.g. extended warranty, wheel damage protection, etc.).

I have the same thing and I have a great relationship with dealer, but still will wait and see (new GM or sales manager gets replaced and you never know)...

It just takes willpower to make it thru their entire sales pitch not agreeing to anything you really don't want.
Ideally they should present the options before you go to sign the papers so you can mull them over.

I've had a $1k deposit for over a year now for M2 Competition.

This time I have everything in writing including pricing.

#1 spot for USA delivery with MSRP pricing in writing.
#2 spot for European Delivery with ED MSRP pricing in writing.

They will not allow their #1 allocation for European Delivery.

Leaning towards European Delivery, but I do not want to go to Europe during the winter.

I hear you on that one, I don't mind going to Europe in winter, the skiing is great. However, I don't want to drive my new M car in salt

MSRP here. $1k deposit down. Earliest allocation was for a Q4 delivery, think I'm number 5 or 6 on the list, but that list included others waiting for 2018 M2s.
