Hey guys , i just got my 2nd hand bmw e90 320D before i bought it the dealer gave it a full service , in which he changed the oil , brake pads , clutch/dualmass fly wheel and i didnt start the car for around a month or so.. Now as i turn on the car the battery warning sign turn on like the battery is low or anything ....and also as the dealer did the service it keeps coming on this sign ( pic for reference for the warning sign) and if some1 know can you tell me how to reset the "due to service sign" , thanks

Scan for codes or take to someone who can.

You need to address the underlying cause. That light came on for a reason.

It isn't because the tech failed to reset service reminders; it is an indication that something is not right.

Put it on a trickle charger overnight. if the car will be sitting longer than 3 days, I'd recommend this. They're fairly cheap.

I'd also take it back in for inspection if you just bought it...

I should also have mentioned that if your battery is low enough, it can cause your dash to light up like a Christmas tree. So what StereoSteve said about charging is particularly important here....

Once you have a full battery (or a new one, if necessary), it’ll be easier to determine whether there’s even an issue at all.

i will try by charging the battery first , and also check it with my mechanic for any faults coz the dealer that sold me the car told me he did a full service also he gave me the papers to prove everything was done....Als ofor charging the battery can i disconnect it or it should be left in place and charged , will it lose any codes or something if i remove it ?
