What do you guys do to create more passive income?

I've been renting a few properties in Texas for some time now, but all of that gets reinvested back into that venture. I would like to do something else now that I live in Charlotte but can't think of anything.

I'd do Uber on the weekends, but from what I've read that earns on average between $5-10/hr, and I wouldn't be able to justify that.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Very odd for someone that rents a few properties and drives an M3 to even consider Ubering... but hey I guess people have their own plans.

Maybe consider raising the rents after the lease is up if the current tenants want to renew? As far as Ubering, I do this full time but nights is where the money is at down here in SoFl. Everyone and their Cuban Grandmother only do banker hours down here. Not sure how busy it is in Charlotte, however, only way to find out is to turn on the app and go.

Are you looking for extra income because you need it, or more because you have time to kill? I think that might change the answers a bit.

I personally have made quite a bit with cryptocurrency; i happen to get in before the big push so even now with the markets down i'm still up.

I think we will see another wave like last year with market cap 3-5x current cap by end of year.

I have friends that do Uber on the weekends (like friends still in college) and they be telling us that they make about $100 an evening Friday to Sunday but only in Seattle area due to all the bars. Uber is a very hit or miss kind of job.

There is a few jobs that you can do at home. I cant think of the name right now but my friend was looking into a company that you type of captions for videos. Its all online and you do it at your pace.

I have 45 GPUs mining cryptocurrency in my basement. Nets me (on average over the last year or so) ~$2000/month. Ups and downs, of course, and I am not cashing it out monthly. Right now market is down pretty hard, but I just keep mining away.

2 rigs running AMDs (5x580 and 6xVega 56). 3 rigs running NVidia (mix of 1060, 1070, 107ti, 1080, & 1080ti)

I tried my hand at various coins, and have some ZEC, ETH, and some others, but right now I am using Nicehash to rent my hashing power, getting paid in BTC.

I wouldn't consider driving for Uber to be passive income.

If you have cash to invest, then self-educating on investment principles and following an investment strategy would be my suggestion.

Definitely nice! What MBs are you utilizing?

How have the Vega 56s performed i've heard good news about these.

i have 3x 16 card rigs running 8x580s and either 8x1070ti or 8x1080. Honestly been looking at the 1060s for the current price i can get them at can build a decent rig for pretty cheap.

The Vega's have done well, but not nearly as well as I expected. Fortunately, I bought them at MSRP when they came out. They are definitely not worth the inflated prices they were selling at after that.

MBs are all Biostar TB250BYC-Pros.

1060s are probably not good investments, since new cards are coming out from NVidia this summer, which will likely make 1060's obsolete. Plus, ETH DAG is going to be above 3gB in the not too distant future.

Before jumping into secondary or tertiary investments I would make sure your primary income stream and investment strategy is sound. Anyhow, not sure what your core competencies are but are you able to freelance or do contract work on the side? This could provide a material lift to income depending on your current skill set(s).

Oh i know that's why i see them as profitable. I can currently get the 6gb 1060 for just over $100 a card, 50 card minimum. Which is insane given the current inflation this is a great price for the card. My only limitation here is the amperage coming into the house.

May just resolve it by getting another unit.

What, did they fall off the back of a truck?!?!?!

Seriously, at that price, you would be better served buying them, and then reselling, easily doubling your investment, if not more.

I don't think Uber would be considered passive income.

I think Uber would have you call it "extra" income, not passive for sure- way too many hours involved.

For that matter, do people really net any decent money? Considering time, gas & whatever? I've always thought it was more a way to get those last few pennies towards that happy meal you've been saving for....

I heard some people get $4-5k CDN a month, I guess the income would depend on the car, location and time of the day. Also, the best way I've heard, is to drive down to the heart of the city/financial district, park somewhere and use a bike. They used to pay you for every single pick up even though you pick up 2+ orders from the same restaurant but I think they changed that.
