Window trim gap

Can anyone tell me what’s going on with this gap in my trim? It seems like both pieces are in the correct spots based on the other ends of the trim.

That part is a piece of junk if it’s the part I’m thinking off. Part# 51137117243. It’s $160. Mine deteriorated from water seeping in I’m assuming. It’s one long piece that plugs into the body of the car, but the two trim pieces are connected to it. That’s why there’s a gap in between. I used adhesive to fasten mine back into place.

Yeah it looks like the two pieces were glued together originally

Did you take it off the car to put it back together then reinstall?

Mine had separated from the back drivers rear window at the end. I used adhesive to put the trim back onto the strip that clips to the body.
